Raphael Archibald is a Moron…….or…..Ok Fine: Save The Whales Already
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) – Pro-whaling nations are expected to take control of the International Whaling Commission when it gathers this week, giving those who favor whaling a majority for the first time since a 1986 ban on the practice.

You know, its shit like this that can rouse a slumbering pundit from his lethargic reverie and get things going again. See, it’s not just the whales (which I decided a while ago to like) but rather the emergence of such abject stupidity and natural immorality amongst a group of so called intelligent humans. Perhaps I had become numbed to the whole notion after all the Mohammed cartoon bullshit, which really was a big step down the ladder of evolution of human intelligence. One statement about whaling by one man was the spark.
It seems that while we weren’t looking, those whale killing yellow devils in Japan have been propping up the fishing economies in such global powerhouse nations as St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Antigua, Grenada and St. Kitts. More than $100 Million in the last 8 years. Which really means that about 24 corrupt Caribbean officials can now afford to have Jerry Hall for a neighbor and maybe thirteen or fourteen dollars actually got to the fishermen.
In short, what this means is that Japan bought the vote of countries, if you can really call them that, to sway the majority on the commission to Japan’s point of view. Which of course is to kill more whales.
And the statement that floored even my cynical ass was made by Raphael Archibald, a functionary with the government of St. Kitts who when asked about his position on whaling said:
“There are stocks of whales that are very abundant. What’s the idea of having them there, increasing, increasing and increasing?”
Um, gee Raph, I thought that increasing and increasing without having explosive harpoons shot into their heads WAS the fucking idea.
You can write this island moron care of the government of St. Kitts at:

Just for fun you may want to start with something like: “Hey Mr. Archibald, your family seems very abundant. What’s the idea of having them increasing, increasing and increasing?”
I don’t want to sound all preachy and shit, but there is no reason, no reason on this earth to need to kill whales for commercial purposes. Ever.
Norway, Iceland and Japan managed to get away with killing over 2,500 whales in the past 12 months. Of the three, only Norway has the guts to give the globe the finger and kill whales anyway. Iceland and Japan kill whales for “scientific research”. Which of course is utter bullshit, since whale meat is sold in fast food places in Japan. Either their researchers are stupid or we (the rest of the world) just don’t have the guts to do what’s right and stop the slaughter. I have no explanation for Iceland however or their mentality other than to say that they gave the world Bjork. I’m not sure if that offers an explanation or not, but at least I get to ridicule the musical freak again. Perhaps eating all that whale meat is what allows the people of Iceland to enjoy her music. Mercury in the blubber perhaps.
As a way of illustrating just how special whales are, and lord knows this article could go on for days in this regard, the only reason for taking a whale now and again is that whale oil is the only substance that can lubricate machinery in the cold depths of space. We can not synthesize whale oil. Nothing else will work at near absolute zero and nobody can really understand why.
I may go on about this again at a later date and probably will. Till then I will leave you with the notion of booking a trip to the Baja in Mexico, where you can sometimes go and pet a whale as it scratches it’s nose on your boat and looks right at you and into you with an eye the size of a dinner plate and you will know that a whale must never be considered a food source. Ever....
